I Believe They Call It...Rebecca Black's Favourite Day

Sup!

I bounced out of school at 3:15 this afternoon with the familiar tune of 'Friday' by Rebecca Black resonating in my head (I'm no hater, but her style of music isn't exactly my cup of tea). The sun was shining, the kids were screaming and there were only a couple of gangs of chavs at the school gates. It was beginning to look like a pretty good start to the weekend. For me anyway...

Before I even got to the car where my mum was waiting for me, I saw 3 people who's weekends weren't off to such a jolly start. The first was a girl in Year 8, who must of been standing on a piece of gum for a while, because when she went to walk off, her foot was stuck to the pavement. You know those cartoons you watched when you were a kid? The ones where someone's foot would have gum stuck to the bottom and it was all pink and stretchy? Yeah, it was exactly like that.

The second was a boy in Year 9, who was walking on the other side of the road with his friends. There were a lot of birds hanging around outside school, like always, waiting for everyone to leave so the could pick at the litter. But one must of got tired of waiting because as he took off, he splattered birdpoo right onto this boys head. I laughed out loud...and I mean loud. It was one of the most hilarious things I have seen in my life.

The last one was a boy called Finn, who I recognised because he used to date an old friend of mine. He was riding his bike down the hill opposite my school. Now, I must point out that this hill is particularly steep. Anyway, he was cruising down the hill at top speed and tried to break as he reached the bottom. But the bike didn't break and he went hurtling past the spectating teachers and myself, ending up in a heap in a bush. At first I was in shock and wondered if the Finn was alright, but I just couldn't help the laughter that was bubbling up inside me. It erupted out of my mouth like a noise volcano. Everyone turned and stared at me, so I hurried around the corner and to the car.

By the time I got to the car, I was just one big, giggling mess. I couldn't believe that I had witnessed all of those unlucky (and fairly embarassing) incidents, and made it back to the car alive. I guess I should count my lucky stars...

Peace and Love x
